Max Schiller is a Germany-based designer specializing in visual development, worldbuilding and the creation of original visual identities for film, games and emerging IPs. With over eight years of experience across entertainment, he helps studios and creative teams transform early concepts into cohesive worlds, compelling design languages and visually memorable experiences.

Having contributed to feature films, AAA games and immersive media for clients including Epic Games, Netflix, Paramount Pictures, Gearbox, Krafton and Magnopus, Max brings a deep understanding of both creative vision and production realities - bridging the gap between early ideation and final execution.

At the core of his work lies a strong interest in culture, symbolism art and design. Through original worlds such as Aren Dust, he explores how narrative, function and visual language can converge into distinctive and believable universes.

Beyond client work, Max regularly shares his experience through teaching, lectures and live demonstrations, including guest instruction at NEW3DGE in Paris and speaking engagements at international art events.

NEW3DGE Paris - Instructur Concept Art

-

Since 2021, Max has been invited annually to teach a two-week course at NEW3DGE in Paris, one of the world’s leading concept art schools. His teaching focuses on Blender fundamentals, design principles, and the integration of 2D and 3D workflows for contemporary film and game production.

Supporting students in their creative growth and witnessing their progress over time remains one of the most rewarding aspects of his practice.

In 2024, Max was invited to “Kind of Art” in Copenhagen, a conference hosted by Mood Visuals, to share his VR-based creative workflow in a live two-hour demonstration.

Presenting his process—from 2D ideation to VR exploration, 3D development and final paintover—not only offered valuable insight into his hybrid workflow, but also highlighted his passion for exploring new creative tools and technologies.

IAMAG - online MASTER CLASS

-

In 2022, Max was invited by Patrice Leymarie and IAMAG to produce a online live masterclass exploring his creative philosophy and workflow.

Centered around the role of storytelling in concept design, the course highlighted Max’s belief that strong visual work goes beyond technique - it requires personality, intention and a clear narrative voice. Through a combination of design principles, practical workflows and production techniques, the masterclass offered insight into how ideas can evolve into meaningful visual experiences.
